Pred function

  DECLARATION:  Pred(x);

      PURPOSE:  Returns the predecessor of the argument

         UNIT:  System

  RESULT TYPE:  Same as parameter

      REMARKS:  Where x is an ordinal-type expression, Pred will return the
                predecessor of x.
